Craft Books Cometh

Happy Dance! They are here, my selection of craft books after suckering into another membership with Crafters Choice. I mentioned recently in a post that I couldn’t resist, but I was concerned because one book I wanted was in the brochure I’d received in the mail but not on the company’s web site. The bad news is that, as I suspected, the book is not longer available. The good news is that they didn’t just substitute something similar but instead gave me a voucher to pick another book with no extra charges for shipping, which I thought was pretty decent of them. Understandably, I didn’t have that much trouble picking an alternate book.

I’ve only had time to take a quick browse through them, but at some point, I plan to provide a book review on each for you here.

Welcome to the Crafty Princess Diaries, my weblog and site where I get to blab about my passion for crafts, primarily jewelry making, and my crafting career. My name is Tammy Powley, and I decided to call my blog the Crafty Princess Diaries because of this very dorky picture I have of myself and because my husband often refers to me as β€œthe princess and the pea,” which is just another way to say that I tend to be particular sometimes. Along with this weblog, I have a number of jewelry making books published.

  1. How fun! I love craft books too.

    Cheers,

  2. It’s an addiction, but hey, I always tell my students that to be a good writer, you have to part of the conversation. That means reading and research. It’s a tough job, but ya know!

  3. I love craft books too and I understand the addiction. Should I mention how many craft books I am in the process of reading right now? Will I ever finish one?

I look forward to your reviews to help me choose wisely on my future purchase πŸ˜‰

  4. I can totally relate to being suckered in – it happened to me recently too. And, they don’t have that great a needlecraft section, IMO. I end up ordering books just to read them and then pass them along to friends who will be more interested in them than I am!
