Baby Blanket Granny Square Done!

Yeah for me for finishing what will be a Christmas gift for one of my young nephews! I used Bernat Baby Blanket yarn in the Summer Day colorway and whipped up a 50×50 inch soft as can be granny square afghan for him. He particularly likes soft blankets, so this should be a winner (I hope).

I still think this yarn is pretty cool, but I don’t see me making another afghan this size out of it any time soon. It is so bulky that it gets pretty touch to work with when it becomes larger than 30 inches. I felt like I was wrestling at the same time I was trying to crochet!

Welcome to the Crafty Princess Diaries, my weblog and site where I get to blab about my passion for crafts, primarily jewelry making, and my crafting career. My name is Tammy Powley, and I decided to call my blog the Crafty Princess Diaries because of this very dorky picture I have of myself and because my husband often refers to me as “the princess and the pea,” which is just another way to say that I tend to be particular sometimes. Along with this weblog, I have a number of jewelry making books published.
