Shelf Organizing Giveaway – Spicy Shelf

I am always trying to get my house and studio organized. I’m sure I’m not alone when it comes to figuring out how to get all your crafting and other home items organized but still easy to get to when you need them, so I was interested when I was contacted by the folks of Spicy Shelf. This product is obviously originally designed with the idea of organizing spice bottles and tins in your kitchen cabinets, but there are lots of other uses for it, not just for the kitchen. You could organize paints, bottles of beads, or even rubber stamps on these shelves that you insert into a cabinet. If you go over to the Spicy Shelf web site, you’ll see a video of how it easily assembles, no special tools are needed.

And….they are offering the readers of Crafty Princess Diaries not only a discount but a chance to win a set for free! Yup!

To receive a $5.00 discount on two sets that normally retail for $19.95, use the promotion code SPICE5. (That is a 5 on the end, not the letter S by the way).

If you want to get a chance to win a set for free, then comment on this post and just tell me something about organizing your crafting supplies. Do you have a good tip? Are you struggling with ways to tackle your craft supplies? Just mention anything related to organizing your crafting supplies in the comments no later than 8/15 eastern time midnight. Make sure to include your email address so that I can contact you if you win, and you will have 3 days to reply in order to receive the prize. This is open to anyone living in the Continental US, and the prize will be mailed out by Spicy Shelf, who will need a street address to deliver to if you are the winner. One winner will be randomly selected.

Welcome to the Crafty Princess Diaries, my weblog and site where I get to blab about my passion for crafts, primarily jewelry making, and my crafting career. My name is Tammy Powley, and I decided to call my blog the Crafty Princess Diaries because of this very dorky picture I have of myself and because my husband often refers to me as β€œthe princess and the pea,” which is just another way to say that I tend to be particular sometimes. Along with this weblog, I have a number of jewelry making books published.

  2. This is a fantastic idea! I try to organize but I keep messing it up. This would be a great thing for me. Fingers crossed.

  3. Since I do a lot of beading, I like to use old glass jars to put my beads in. I like them because I like to recycle, and glass jars you can see through, so it make it easy when you are looking for those perfect beads. I also like to use Thirty One Gifts to organize some of my yarn and other craft items. These shelf organizers would be great for any crafter, or cook!

  4. I have a bookshelf that houses my yarn stash. It works great as I can organize it by yarn weight.

  5. I am horrible at organizig. I use plastic bins and plastic ziploz bags because I find it hardest when Ican’t see what is inside.

  8. wow what a great concept and would this be great for either all the spices now stuffed in my draw and not enough room for them all, so some in cabinet or for all my bottles of glitter, buttons, glues, etc that I use for crafting! To have everything NEATLY stored in one location would be postively superb ~ no more hunting down anything πŸ™‚

  9. Not only do I craft but three of the other 5 people that live in the house craft talk about chaos! Love the ideas and others are right if you can’t see it you get frustrated trying to organize these look like a great tool to help.

  10. I love to organize. I use my Thirty One Gifts to organize my closet in my bedroom. I also have these bags in my kitchen to organize my towels. The one thing I have a hard time organizing is all my beauty products. Right now they are in bags and these shelfs would be a great way to display them so I can find them all instead of digging through bags.

  11. I use the Fintorp rails from Ikea to organize small things. They have several different caddys you can hang from them. It’s so convenient.

  12. I put two hooks on the underside of a shelf and laid a down on the hooks. I then bought S-hooks and put those on the dowels so all my craft scissors can hang down from the shelf and be easily accessible.

  13. Organizing? What’s that!? Lol. Hubby is in the Army and it seems as if we are never in one place long enough for me to Really organize so little by little I collect pieces that help!

  14. I just have a lot of bins. One for yarn, one for fabric, one for beads, you get the idea!

  15. My spice cupboard is sooo in need of these! Imagine, reaching & finding instead of finger-tumbling through dozens of tins & bottles!! Oh, and my beads–sheesh!
Thank you for the generous opportunity, and keep up the “Diaries”!

  16. I use a small tackle box to keep most of my knitting tools in. I have now one place i can go to for all my needles, hooks, markers, row counters, etc.
