All Things Resin

I have been enamored with all things resin lately. It really is an amazing material for use in all kinds of crafts and even decorative items like this very cool wall clock I picked up at Bed, Bath, and Beyond this weekend. I couldn’t help myself! Plus, hey, I do save their coupons like crazy.

My own resin experience is slowly growing as I find time to play. So far, as far as semi-successful projects, I’ve got my resin stars, which I loaded up with red, white, and blue glitter, and more recently, I made some fun Halloween cabs using sequin stickers and clear casting epoxy resin.

I love how the basics are pretty easy to pick up, but I have to say that the instant gratification side of me continues to struggles with the curing process, which takes at least 24 hours. Dang it!

Welcome to the Crafty Princess Diaries, my weblog and site where I get to blab about my passion for crafts, primarily jewelry making, and my crafting career. My name is Tammy Powley, and I decided to call my blog the Crafty Princess Diaries because of this very dorky picture I have of myself and because my husband often refers to me as “the princess and the pea,” which is just another way to say that I tend to be particular sometimes. Along with this weblog, I have a number of jewelry making books published.
