Holiday Guerrilla Marketing Tip for Crafty Princesses

Have you started at least thinking about sending out your Christmas cards yet? It is still early enough, so I’m guessing most people are like me and haven’t sent them out yet. If that’s the case, great because you have a chance to get a little extra marketing mileage out of your yearly batch Christmas cards, and it so simple! Enter the ever so handy business card.

Before closing up those envelopes, pop in one or two of your business cards. Family and friends can be your best marketing allies, but they may not always know your URL or that you even have an Etsy shop. Consider sending them a couple, one to keep and one to give to someone else.

And while you are sending off those cards, don’t forget important business partners you’ve worked with over the years such as magazine editors, book editors, fellow artisans, anyone you’ve collaborated with this year or in previous years. Sending out a Christmas card is a good way to keep in touch as the months slide by and are gentle reminders that you are still out there and available for future opportunities.

Welcome to the Crafty Princess Diaries, my weblog and site where I get to blab about my passion for crafts, primarily jewelry making, and my crafting career. My name is Tammy Powley, and I decided to call my blog the Crafty Princess Diaries because of this very dorky picture I have of myself and because my husband often refers to me as “the princess and the pea,” which is just another way to say that I tend to be particular sometimes. Along with this weblog, I have a number of jewelry making books published.

  1. I actually started doing my cards today. I got to about 40 and then pooped out. I am doing an info. card in each of my Holiday cards and would like to offer one more tip! Take a hole puncher and punch a hole on the side of your bsuiness card or tag. Then, get some festive curling ribbon and cut about 5 inches. Fold and pull through and you’ll have a nice ornament!!! Tammy you’ll be seeing mine soon…I’m only on the “d”‘s in my address book…so “p” will be coming up…LOL!

  2. That is a great idea making it into an ornament! I ordered my boxes of cards, and they are sitting here, and I’m thinking about them, but that’s the most I’ve gotten done on them….not much!
