After buying this cake of Merino yarn, my first super wash Merino yarn ever, I have been dying to try to find something to make with it, but as this little dude is only 50 grams, I had to do some searching for patterns. I ended up finding a scarf pattern called Moonlight Serenade, a free pattern by Merri Purdy available on Ravelry.

Normally, I’m not one to have more than 2 or so projects going, but I wanted to play with this yarn and figured it would not take too long to make. I’m not sure if I am a Merino lover like I hear so many other yarn people tend to be, but I will say that it is hard to believe this is wool. It’s really soft!

Welcome to the Crafty Princess Diaries, my weblog and site where I get to blab about my passion for crafts, primarily jewelry making, and my crafting career. My name is Tammy Powley, and I decided to call my blog the Crafty Princess Diaries because of this very dorky picture I have of myself and because my husband often refers to me as “the princess and the pea,” which is just another way to say that I tend to be particular sometimes. Along with this weblog, I have a number of jewelry making books published.
