I’m hoping to eventually get on the video band wagon that is sweeping around craft blogs all over the web, but for now, I just have a few oldies but goodies to show you.
This short video was my first attempt at it a few years ago as a test run for my Jewelry Making site at About.com. I learned a lot from this first experience such as:
- Damn, girl! Put way more make up on. You look like you are from Canada (nothing against Canada, but I am a native Floridian).
- Damn, girl! Go thee to Weight Watchers now! I have managed to get some of the weight off since filming this a few years ago, but I have a long way to go. I will say, for future videos, I tried to have the camera film me above the waist!
- Hello!? Close the blinds behind you, silly! The lighting is just awful.
- Boy, howdy, can you tell I’m from the south? Where did that accent come from? I swear I don’t sound like that. Really!
Forgive the fuzzies on this. I uploaded it to YouTube, and now it has that “youtube fuzzy” thing going on. This file is way to big for my poor baby server.

I love your video! Is it possible you are your own worst critic?! I was thinking the other day it would be really cool to find some bead store videos to watch on the days you can’t get out. Have you ever done that before? Wouldn’t it be great if bead stores had little webcams you could carry around the store with you and do some commentary on what you are finding? Maybe I’m just bead-obsessed…One day when I was sick I stumbled across Cami’s ArtLikeBread crafty blog and she had filmed the beads she was seeing at an outdoor market in Mexico. I instantly felt a little better… Sorry, I got a little side-tracked! I also wanted to say thanks for stopping by my bead a day blog, that made my day! There are such nice people out in the beading and crafting world. Have a great day!

Well, of course, I am very critical of myself on film. I can’t imagine not being that way π I’m glad you liked it though. I like your idea. I wonder how the bead store would like it.

Tammy
This is adorable! You’re silly…lose what weight?
Everything about this is totally you and that’s what makes it wonderful. The more we are ourselves, the more we resonate with the viewer. How could we not love a woman who finds craft pliers under a pile of unfolded blankets?!
Rock on sista and cut yourself a little slack. You’re fabulous.

Thanks, Margot. You always look so relaxed on film. It amazes me!
