Boo to You! Painted Veggies for Halloween

I found this dude on the DecoArts web site and thought he was totally adorable and talk about an easy craft! Even for those who consider themselves craft challenged, you have to admit this ghost gourd is pretty darn basic. Except for the sealers they use, which you’d need to do in a well-ventilated area of course, the painting part might be a good project for the kids to help you with. This is just one of a number of Halloween projects on the site at its Pumpkin Painting Idea Center.

Welcome to the Crafty Princess Diaries, my weblog and site where I get to blab about my passion for crafts, primarily jewelry making, and my crafting career. My name is Tammy Powley, and I decided to call my blog the Crafty Princess Diaries because of this very dorky picture I have of myself and because my husband often refers to me as “the princess and the pea,” which is just another way to say that I tend to be particular sometimes. Along with this weblog, I have a number of jewelry making books published.

  1. OMG! Tammy the ghost is too cute!!! I never saw a ghost before. Cool. I use to buy painted little pumpkins from a lady at work. They were $5.00 each and her kids sold for a school fundraiser. I would always get a boy and girl pumpkin and they would last to Thanksgiving. Well, most of the time they last that long…ha ha, and some years, even longer!

  2. They make the most wonderful projects at Deco Art, I have a friend who does a lot of them. Super creative.

    Thanks for sharing this!

    Cheers,
    Margot
