Our family room make over continues with the addition of an amazing 52″ TV. Of course, the room is not completely painted yet, I still haven’t decided on the furniture, and the floor is totally up in the air, but we don’t care because our TV is fabulous! HD is amazing! I know that basically everyone else on the planet has had it for awhile, but we tend to be slow when it comes to tech stuff like this. It took us years before we actually bought a real touch-tone phone!

Now that the TV is in place, though, this means we can make some furniture decisions. My DH figured out a way to orientate the furniture so I can get a sectional in there, and other than trying to figure out what to do about the floor, we finally have a picture in our minds about the final outcome we are hoping for.

If anyone has some pet-friendly floor suggestions other than ceramic tile and marmolleum, I’m open for suggestions. Right now, we think our only options are Pergo or peel and stick type flooring. I’m leaning towards Pergo, but I’m concerned about the puppy boys’ nails scratching it a lot.

Welcome to the Crafty Princess Diaries, my weblog and site where I get to blab about my passion for crafts, primarily jewelry making, and my crafting career. My name is Tammy Powley, and I decided to call my blog the Crafty Princess Diaries because of this very dorky picture I have of myself and because my husband often refers to me as “the princess and the pea,” which is just another way to say that I tend to be particular sometimes. Along with this weblog, I have a number of jewelry making books published.

  1. I’ve been lurking until now…but just wanted to say that we’ve had Pergo now for over 7 years and a border collie and the pergo still looks as good as new.
Congrats on the new TV. We still haven’t taken the plunge.

  2. Thanks for coming out of lurkdom, Maribel! Your info is very helpful!
