The finished tubbie turned out to be about 12 inches in diameter and about 6 inches high. The girl cat gave the finished cat tubbie a test run for me last night. She gave it the initial kitty thumbs up, though she has to run some more tests before giving a complete report. I plan on making jewelry today and have to read some Othello for school, so I don’t see any crochet happening today; however, there are plans for cat tubbie version 2.0, which will be a little smaller. And this time, I’ve got plenty of yarn!

Hi, Tammy! This is so cute! I think you might be on to something BIG here! My friends mom’s cat…Miss Cindy Lou Whoo always grew up with boxes and has a special box she sleeps in on the kitchen bakers rack. I was thinking this was so much more attractive!!!!

Oh, yes, anyone with a cat would love one of these, er, or, the cat would! They do take some time to make, but I think once I get a few done, I’ll have it down so they’ll be quicker. There are a few animal shelters around here, one just for cats, and I’m sure these would be a big hit! His Gray Highness is all snuggly in one right now under a lamp on my desk as I type π
