Post your comment only once in this blog entry and you will get a chance to win. The deadline for entry is April 30, 2013 midnight ET. Then during the first few days of the next month, I will randomly pick one winner. Make sure to include your email address when commenting. I will email the winner who will have 3 days after the drawing to reply back with a mailing address. Anyone who does not reply after 3 days will no longer be eligible to win, and I will draw a new winner. I’ve knit and felted some coasters and a couple of felt vases. I’d love a knit blanket, but my cat has a tendency to get his claws caught in knitting even when I keep his claws trimmed.

I’m only a beginning knitter and have completed three things so far: a cowl for me, a Dr. Who bow tie for my sister, and a potholder for a friend! I guess the last is for a home…just not mine!

I think I especially enjoy knitting for my home because it is never picky about what I knit for it! (Haha) So yes, everything from dishcloths to afghans. I would love to check out this book. Thanks for the contest. Good luck everyone! -FlyingMonkeyHQ on Ravelry

I have often admired different patterns for pillows but I just realized that I have never knit one. Throw blankets, afghans, are the only thing that I have knit for the house – many many of these were queen size blankets.
April 4, 2013 at 3:51 pm
I’ve knit a blanket for someone else’s home. I usually knit larger things for other people but I’ve knit some dishcloths that I’ve kept.
April 5, 2013 at 7:13 am
I’ve knit discloses and a felted bowl for the home. I desire to start on adorning my home with pillows and blankets. A lampshade and valances would be fun, too.

We had a couch that was very textured and it hurt my skin to sit on it (I have fibromyalgia). So we got rid of the couch and kept all of the throw pillows and made new covers for them. You can take them off and wash them. And of course, as any new knitter…dishclothes.
