After my thirty year old sewing machine decided it no longer wanted to back space (even after sending it in for maintenance two times), I finally took the plug and purchased purchased a new sewing machine, a Singer Quantum Stylist 9960. I’m still learning how to use it but have made a number of small items on it already such as Blythe doll dresses and some toddler-size simple skirts for my grand-nieces. My name is Tammy Powley, and I decided to call my blog the Crafty Princess Diaries because of this very dorky picture I have of myself and because my husband often refers to me as “the princess and the pea,” which is just another way to say that I tend to be particular sometimes.
