I heard through the blogosphere grapevine that Andrew Thornton is have a beady-type, crafty-type, etc-type yard sale via his shop on Ebay. Along with beads like the strand pictured above, he has mish mash of other crafting materials such as vintage photographs, charms, and tools. None crafting items includes some interesting looking used books and music CDs. For ATC lovers (altered trading cards), he’s offering to toss in one of his own for anyone who wins and auction and request an ATC.

Welcome to the Crafty Princess Diaries, my weblog and site where I get to blab about my passion for crafts, primarily jewelry making, and my crafting career. My name is Tammy Powley, and I decided to call my blog the Crafty Princess Diaries because of this very dorky picture I have of myself and because my husband often refers to me as “the princess and the pea,” which is just another way to say that I tend to be particular sometimes. Along with this weblog, I have a number of jewelry making books published.

  1. Thanks so much for getting the word out there! You’re really a peach for spreading the word! THANK YOU!

The thing about ATCs is that they are addictive to make and put a little bit of art out in the world. I think faced with the prospect of big-time galleries and going through that whole circuit, instead of a tidal-wave, it’s kind of like throwing pebbles in a pond. But it’s not a daunting unending process like one would imagine, but more like the fable of the crow with the pebbles. Each pebbles raises the water level in the pitcher and makes it easier to eventually drink from. Each little card shows my genuine appreciation and hopefully brings little happiness someone’s way and spreads the creativity… like ripples on a pond.

    Thanks again!

  2. I love ATCs. I’ve dabbled in altered books and love pretty paper. I think the pebble analogy is perfect for your ATC give away.
