Calling All Crochet Designers & Other Crafters

About.com has a new program going on called Contributing Writers where it hires writers to submit material for specific topics on an on-going basis. Most recently I saw that the About.com Crochet site has a call out for a contributing writer/designer (from the newsletter):

We’re planning to expand our coverage of the crochet topic to include more patterns. With that in mind, we’re currently seeking an experienced crochet pattern designer….We’re asking for a minimum of 4 original patterns per month, plus any necessary supporting materials (including stitch tutorials and definitions of unfamiliar terms, as necessary.)

When I went to the list of open topics, I saw that there were a few other craft related ones open including digital scrapbooking and machine quilting. This is not the same as running one of the guides sites over there but would instead supplement content on an existing site.

Welcome to the Crafty Princess Diaries, my weblog and site where I get to blab about my passion for crafts, primarily jewelry making, and my crafting career. My name is Tammy Powley, and I decided to call my blog the Crafty Princess Diaries because of this very dorky picture I have of myself and because my husband often refers to me as “the princess and the pea,” which is just another way to say that I tend to be particular sometimes. Along with this weblog, I have a number of jewelry making books published.
