Finally, I discovered a very simply baby beanie (aka hat) pattern requiring no slip stitches but instead is worked in the round that I think my craft club members can do. It is a single crochet hat from the Art of Crochet by Teresa weblog. Not only is it very easy to understand as far as the pattern goes, but it is very forgiving in case you mess up on counting the rows. She even has a video that shows you how to make the entire project, which is awesome for beginners or even me π
I like how it turned out. The only down side is that it takes much longer to make than my tried and true hat that I’ve been making for awhile, but hey, it got me to expand my crochet horizons some.

It’s darling and looks pretty foolproof – or should I say beginner-proof.
