Baby Beanie Hat with No Slip Stitch

Finally, I discovered a very simply baby beanie (aka hat) pattern requiring no slip stitches but instead is worked in the round that I think my craft club members can do. It is a single crochet hat from the Art of Crochet by Teresa weblog. Not only is it very easy to understand as far as the pattern goes, but it is very forgiving in case you mess up on counting the rows. She even has a video that shows you how to make the entire project, which is awesome for beginners or even me πŸ˜‰

I like how it turned out. The only down side is that it takes much longer to make than my tried and true hat that I’ve been making for awhile, but hey, it got me to expand my crochet horizons some.

Welcome to the Crafty Princess Diaries, my weblog and site where I get to blab about my passion for crafts, primarily jewelry making, and my crafting career. My name is Tammy Powley, and I decided to call my blog the Crafty Princess Diaries because of this very dorky picture I have of myself and because my husband often refers to me as β€œthe princess and the pea,” which is just another way to say that I tend to be particular sometimes. Along with this weblog, I have a number of jewelry making books published.

  1. It’s darling and looks pretty foolproof – or should I say beginner-proof.
