Ah, I’m working on the trim now for my afghan, and it is starting to feel like I will never be done, as if I stitch and stitch but the difference is barely noticeable! The middle part is variegated colors of purple, green, blues, and yellows, and I’m trimming it in purple. I used standard Red Heart “super save” yarn for all of it.
To the left is a thumbnail of the afghan so far, and of course, my girl cat who is doing her best to model for you. She is dying to give it a test run, but I’m holding her off until I’m completely done. Actually, this is going to be a blanket for my hubby when I’m done. He’s got one old ratty thing on his side of the bed that I plan to give to the dogs, but I need to have a replacement ready first.
I think this is going to be my last large crochet project for awhile. After this, I may start making baby-sized blankets instead. That way, they don’t weigh 500 pounds after I get close to finishing, and when I’m finished, I can donate them to organizations like Project Linus.
