Bead Bloggers Get Some PR

I’m part of a group of professional crafters who have a kind of on-going carnival of sorts. We’ve been doing this for awhile where we publish a post each week that links to one another. It’s actually an idea I “borrowed” after being part of a similar blog group, the Web Snobs, when I was blogging about jewelry fashions.

I guess word has gotten out about our small group of select bead and jewelry bloggers, and we’ve gotten a little publicity over at yet another cool craft blog called Craft Stylish. Thanks for the write up!

For anyone thinking of doing something similar, I have to say that this group has not only been a great way to promote ourselves, but it has also been a wonderful networking opportunity. Many of us have similar career goals that focus on writing about jewelry making and/or selling our jewelry artwork, so having a small group that is manageable but still able to share information with one another continues to be an on-going learning experience.

So, surf around. Find craft bloggers who seem to be on the same wave length as yourself, and consider starting your own group. It does take a little planning, but it is well-worth the effort.

Welcome to the Crafty Princess Diaries, my weblog and site where I get to blab about my passion for crafts, primarily jewelry making, and my crafting career. My name is Tammy Powley, and I decided to call my blog the Crafty Princess Diaries because of this very dorky picture I have of myself and because my husband often refers to me as “the princess and the pea,” which is just another way to say that I tend to be particular sometimes. Along with this weblog, I have a number of jewelry making books published.
