Crafty Princess Says Thank You!

I just wanted to stop here at the end of this month of May and say thank you to all of those in the arts and crafts blogosphere. About the middle of last month (April 2008), I finally took the plunge and turned my static web site of many years into a weblog, and I’m so glad that I did!

I will admit that it is still in the works. I dream of my fancy new template some day, and I am still learning the ropes of an indie blogger, figuring out what all the stats numbers really mean, looking for advertisers, understanding what my small readership wants, and of course, learning how to grow my readership, but I will never look back to the days of HTML and FTPing my files every few months.

So far, I have plenty to talk about, and while life is very busy – even during what is supposed to be my summer vacation away from school – I look forward to coming over and “talking” daily. Hopefully, you won’t get tired of listening.

Here is to the month of May, my first full month as an indie blogger!

Welcome to the Crafty Princess Diaries, my weblog and site where I get to blab about my passion for crafts, primarily jewelry making, and my crafting career. My name is Tammy Powley, and I decided to call my blog the Crafty Princess Diaries because of this very dorky picture I have of myself and because my husband often refers to me as “the princess and the pea,” which is just another way to say that I tend to be particular sometimes. Along with this weblog, I have a number of jewelry making books published.
