Portable Craft Stash Idea

My mom enjoys going on cruises (for some weird reason), and whenever she goes, she usually brings me back a little something, often purses or totes since she knows how much I like them. I’m kind of a purse-a-holic.

On one of her recent cruises, she brought me back this fairly large purse. While I don’t mind a little flash now and then, I usually keep to a fairly conservative purse during the school year, so this wasn’t something I could see myself using as an actual purse. However, I immediately realized it would be great for carrying around craft projects. Right now, it is housing a baby afghan I’m working on, but this would also be good for jewelry supplies or other types of crafts.

I’m not sure how much she paid for this, but normally, she will get these pretty inexpensively, anywhere from five to ten dollars. So if you plan to take a cruise sometime or know of someone who is, this is a great souvenir that you can get some use out of.

Welcome to the Crafty Princess Diaries, my weblog and site where I get to blab about my passion for crafts, primarily jewelry making, and my crafting career. My name is Tammy Powley, and I decided to call my blog the Crafty Princess Diaries because of this very dorky picture I have of myself and because my husband often refers to me as “the princess and the pea,” which is just another way to say that I tend to be particular sometimes. Along with this weblog, I have a number of jewelry making books published.
