The 1 skein scarf I recently started is done. I think the instructions say something like it takes two hours to make. I am not sure how long it took me, but I worked on it on and off during one day and finished it that same day. Generally, I am pleased with how it turned out, but I’m not 100% satisfied so may frog it and remake it. I would like it to be a little longer, and I think I missed a row of stitches somehow.
I did end up getting one cool morning to wear it (which is unusual this time of year in Florida), and so I think there is some hope for this pattern for me to make again. It’s a nice light scarf. It also includes an unusual stitch I have never done before where you sort of make Xs with double crochet. The stitch is called “crossed double crochet” (xdc).
As far as the new yarn experience, I give super wash Merino a thumbs up. It is wool but very soft. Now, the price I’m still grappling with. Originally, this one cake of yarn (50 grams) is $12.50, and I got it on sale for $9.95. I am not sure my experience working with this yarn felt as luxurious as I had hoped considering the cost of the yarn.

I love projects that can be completed in one day. I’m an impatient crafter. Very pretty.
