Crochet Comfort Gift

This is a set I made for a good friend of mine who has been going through some tough times over the past year. It’s a crocheted scarf, beret, and fingerless gloves set. The scarf is just easy to to double crochet stitch. The fingerless gloves are from a pattern I found on-line, adapted a little, and have used many times now, and this is about the third beret I’ve made using a pattern from the September/October 2010 issue of Crochet Today. I used Vanna’s Choice yarn in a rich burgundy color.

It’s warming up now, so she may not get a ton of use out of these now that we are already half way through March, but you never know when a little cold snap can happen. I’ve packed these up and have them ready to ship out on Monday.

Welcome to the Crafty Princess Diaries, my weblog and site where I get to blab about my passion for crafts, primarily jewelry making, and my crafting career. My name is Tammy Powley, and I decided to call my blog the Crafty Princess Diaries because of this very dorky picture I have of myself and because my husband often refers to me as “the princess and the pea,” which is just another way to say that I tend to be particular sometimes. Along with this weblog, I have a number of jewelry making books published.
