Bamboo Blend Spa Yarn Scarf

Here is a picture of one of the Christmas projects I managed to finish recently. It is just s simple single and double crochet scarf, but the yarn I used made it extra special: Spa Bamboo Blend from NaturallyCaron.com. This yarn so so soft and silky, it was a dream to run through my fingers! It is a blend of acrylic and rayon from bamboo. My only issue is that it is 3-ply versus 4-ply, which is what I’m used to working with. Plus, many of the patterns I have for stuff like hats ask for 4-ply. Now, if I was a more experienced crochet person, I could probably adapt the patterns, but I’m not. This is why I played it safe with a simple scarf. Hopefully, the recipient will find that it feels wonderful around her neck.

Welcome to the Crafty Princess Diaries, my weblog and site where I get to blab about my passion for crafts, primarily jewelry making, and my crafting career. My name is Tammy Powley, and I decided to call my blog the Crafty Princess Diaries because of this very dorky picture I have of myself and because my husband often refers to me as “the princess and the pea,” which is just another way to say that I tend to be particular sometimes. Along with this weblog, I have a number of jewelry making books published.
