Accordion Style Sewing Basket Sale

Last January, I scored a wonderful deal on an accordion style sewing basket from a company called Garrett Wade. I love this basket and ended up filming a video about where I unbox and show it off. I probably should make a follow-up video because I use it so much and have found it works perfectly for my sewing needs.

No affiliation, but I thought I’d post about this basket here on my blog because Garrett Wade has a 15% off sale going on right now that ends on 11/11/2020. This basket is pricey, so managing to get a discount on it is much appreciated.

Why I’m Closing My Etsy Shops

I’m clearing out inventory in both my Etsy shops – Kawaii Doll Shop and Lotus Flower Kawaii – with everything marked down by 40%. I will officially lock them up at the end of the year.

Kawaii Doll Shop has an assortment of doll art and customizing supplies as well as accessories for dolls and doll lovers.

Louts Flower Kawaii has some masks and yoga and nature inspired accessories.

I talk about the reasons why I’m closing my Etsy shops in a recent video, which you can find on my Peace Craft Love Youtube channel. It was not an easy decision to make. I enjoy having a little side gig, but for the reasons I mention in the video, I think I made the right decision.

Halloween Peace Craft Love Podcast Episode 2 Posted

Darn Good Yarn Fabric & Yarn Subscription Box Review

If you are a crafter, especially if you knit, crochet, or sew, then you’ve probably seen the ads for Darn Good Yarn all over the Internet. The sneak over on the sidebar or plop right in the middle of my Facebook feed all the time. So, yes, I caved, and I subscribed to both the fabric subscription box and the yarn subscription box. In this video, I give you my personal take on both after having received them for a few months.

Episode 1 of the Peace Craft Love Podcast is up on my Youtube channel, and my sister who hosts the podcast with me, Terry Jeanette Carter, and I would like to thank everyone who has watched and commented over there so far. It is very encouraging, especially when I know there are so many wonderful podcasts (both audio and video) out there on the Internet. We are feeling the good vibes of being part of this community and sharing our love of all this crafty.

Peace Craft Love Podcast is Live!

We love to craft all the things, both my sister, Terry Jeanette Carter (aka Tappingflamingobling) and myself. Our family is made up of makers. My father constructed our furniture, some of which still populates our homes today, and my mother sewed our clothes.

While I’ve had some crafting related videos on my Youtube channel for years, sometimes even filming an impromptu podcast/vlog with Terry who also has a Youtube channel, it’s not been something that was really planned that much. That has finally changed 🙂

I’m happy to introduce a new endeavor we’re calling the Peace Craft Love Podcast, a biweekly podcast where Terry and I will share our love of crafting: crochet, knitting, jewelry making/beading, sewing, needlework, and more. We just launched our first episode (embedded below), and we’d love for you to get a cup of your favorite beverage, sit back, and chill with us for a little while.

I will continue to also post doll collecting and doll crafting videos, but I have decided to change the name of my channel to Peace Craft Love because it fits more with the direction I plan to take with it.
